Weight Check

50 CAD

Lactation consultants often conduct weight checks to assess breastfeeding mothers and their infants, ensuring the baby’s growth and lactation experience are on track. Here’s what happens during a weight check consultation:
  • A brief, 15-minute appointment to weigh your baby using a 2g sensitive infant scale.
  • The baby’s weight is carefully recorded.
  • The lactation consultant compares the current weight with the baby’s birth weight and previous checks to monitor growth.
  • This assessment helps determine if the baby is receiving sufficient milk through breastfeeding.
  • If needed, follow-up weight checks may be scheduled to track progress and adjust the breastfeeding routine accordingly.
  •      If needed, booking an appointment is helpful in case of any red flags or breastfeeding concerns.
